This weekend I worked on a Lighting McQueen cake for a little guy for his 3rd birthday. Photos to come soon. I will also be adding photos of some of my "older cakes" soon. I have to scan them in, and if you know me at all you know that I have no idea how to scan anything onto a computer. I'm not even completely sure I'm using the right terms. Whatever, they will be added after I google 'how to scan photos" or cave in and ask the hubby to help. The later is so much easier and much faster.

First real cupcake order. Frosted with butter cream, dots and curly que made of mm fondant. These were for a a first birthday, colors were deep yellow, red, white, brown, and turquoise. The colors came out so nice I really liked the turned out.

Oh, the ladybug cake!! I have always thought ladybugs were so cute. I remember as a child I would catch them and keep them in my room in a Miracle Whip jar. I really had fun making this cake. Maybe because I would love to have this as my birthday cake. This little bug was for Riley on her 1st birthday. An 8 inch white cake, covered in butter cream. Daisy and ladybug are made of mm fondant.

Oh the baby shower cake. This cake is special for a handful of reasons.
1. It was for my good and silly friend J
2. Was the 1st time I worked with fondant!!
3. Was my 1st paying customer
4. This is the cake that started it all as I like to say. In the past I had only made cakes for my son and other family members. J asked me to make the cake for her shower after posting on Facebook and by word of mouth I have had the privilege of making cakes for others. I have loved every min of it and continue to enjoy it. I love trying new things and learning as I go. Thank you to all of my current and future customers.

This cake is special it was made for my "2nd son G" for his 3rd birthday. My son T and G are best friends they are able to play together almost everyday, so that's were the "2nd son" comes from. G loves trains so that what he got. This is a 10 inch white base with a 6 inch white with a dome on top to make the hill/tunnel. Train is made of rice crispy treats covered in mm fondant. G loved this cake he was s excited when he saw it he dug right in (can't see on this photo but there was a perfect little 3 year old bite behind he train. So funny!!

Two layer chocolate cake with strawberry filling. Covered with mm fondant. Dumbo is piped on using royal icing. This cake was made for a little girl. She wanted to have sparkles on the cake and I was debating where to add the sparkles and as you can see I added pink to Dumbo's ears.

Conversion hearts are one of my favorite candy's (really only the orange ones) I thought why not make conversion heart cakes. I ended up getting 13 orders and most of the cakes were one layer chocolate or red velvet with butter cream and colored marshmallow fondant. Every cake had a cute and funny saying!
